Lost & Found (2017), written and directed by Liam O Mochain, is simply one of the most inventive films ever experienced.

Seven Interconnected Stories in Completely Original Concept and Cinematic Approach

In Lost & Found (2017), a film with a completely original concept and cinematic approach, seven interconnected stories are set in and around the lost and found office of an Irish train station. The highly entertaining film keeps viewers alert as they identify recurring characters and themes, which take twists and turns through different vignettes.

Characters Reappearing With Altered Appearances in Touching and Heartless Tales

Each story focuses on a central character who sometimes reappears in a subsequent tale with a slightly altered appearance. As one of those figures, Daniel (Liam O Mochain) is involved in several intriguing scenarios. The first compelling story highlights Daniel’s attempt to keep an unexpectedly demanding job as wallets, a suit and even an abandoned baby are turned into the train station’s lost and found office.

In another vignette, Daniel’s determination to fulfill his grandmother’s last wishes reveals the most offbeat–and deeply touching–action in all of the tales. In the last story about Sile (Aoibhin Garrihy), a woman who is determined to keep her wedding date and difficult-to-reserve venue after breaking her engagement during a heartless airport scene, Daniel reappears in another tale with a remarkable twist.

Mystery-Solving Ride Exploring Daily Encounters in Passing Lives

Another story that keeps viewers guessing focuses on Eddie (Liam Carney), a man begging for money at the train station. Appearing in different clothes with a new solicitation pitch each day, Eddie evokes suspicion as a scam artist to those approached as well as some viewers. The actual situation is finally clarified when Moya (Norma Sheahan), a train conductor who gives Eddie free train passes and shows him compassion, receives an unexpected gift as the only one signing his condolence book at the end of his life.

Lost & Found by Liam O Mochain takes viewers on a mystery-solving ride–exploring the seemingly small occurrences and daily encounters that impact the direction of passing lives.
